The Telenovela star is ready to launch her first fully fledged clothing line for The Limited, set to drop in mid-August. Eva, 41, is hoping to join the fashion ranks of celebrity bffs like Victoria Beckham with styles that are “classic and comfortable” rather than too trendy.
The recently engaged actress’ yet-to-be-named collection is set to launch with a focus on apparel (dresses, work wear and casual sportswear) and later expand to include handbags and accessories. As a sneak peek, The Limited will debut three to four limited-edition dresses from the collection online starting on July 25, and will do so every week until the line officially launches in stores August 15.
Not a stranger to fashion, the Golden-Globe nominated beauty explains that she started sewing at a young age and has played seamstress for herself and friends for years. Longoria tells WWD, “It’s one of the things people don’t know about me. I sew”.
With collection pieces ranging from $49-$160, Longoria dishes on her fashion philosophy. “I always say you don’t need to spend a lot of money to look great,” and her ultimate goal is to “offer women versatility while evoking confidence, comfort and a sense of glamour.”
