5 Dresses That Never Go Out Of Style

in Fashion & Style on 03/08/17

Some fashion trends are just never meant to be more than a fad (denim on denim, we’re looking at you!) But thankfully, some looks stand up well to the test of time, like these classic dress styles that continue to look lovely today. They’ve been used as bases by creative designers, but the basic elements are still the same. You may want at least one more of each in your wardrobe by the time you’re done reading.

Today we honor those affected and raise awareness Today we honor those affected and raise awareness about human trafficking and forced labor across the United States.

LatinX communities are at increased risk for human trafficking. Some stats by the National Human Trafficking Hotline reveal that 77% of confirmed Latin Americans and Caribbeans are easy targets for traffickers. The remaining 23% are victims of sex trafficking or a combination of sex and labor trafficking.

In terms of where most of these victims come from, six out of ten possible victims from Latin America and the Caribbean come from Mexico. The industry where they are most vulnerable is agriculture.

And not only is the Latinx community at elevated risk of being targeted for human trafficking, but too often, law enforcement and immigration officials seem to miss opportunities to identify and prevent trafficking attempts.

If this cause is close to your heart, you can learn more about identifying a victim at: dhs.gov/blue-campaign/identify-victim
