Soap & Glory products review: An adorable trio of bath goodies

in Beauty on 10/04/17

I’ve been using these products for two weeks. I would have given them 5 stars on this review when I bought them just for the packaging; it’s so adorable!

  • Body Wash

    Soap & Glory – $10

    First Impression:

The scent is AMAZING; it smells like a man’s cologne, which I love.

    How I use it:

When I’m in the shower. I pump two or three drops on my sponge. I massage it and the foam forms in just seconds. Then I  just shower like I usually do and that’s it!

    Final thoughts:

Even though it smells delicious, I feel like it doesn’t stay on my body for too long. It’s like a nice mini aromatherapy in my shower but when I’m done showering, the smell vanishes. It keeps me clean but I wish the smell would stay on longer.

I give it 3.0 out of 5 stars.

  • Face Wash

    Soap & Glory – $20

    First impression:

The packaging is adorable! However, I’m not a fan of the smell; it’s a little too strong.

    How do I use it:

I normally apply it while I’m in the shower. I put a grape-sized drop on the palm of my hand and I massage it until it starts forming a foam. Then I just massage my face for a few minutes and that’s it!

    Final thoughts:

The exfoliant feels like plastic. Since it’s not soft, sometimes I find myself with little pink dots in my hair. However, not all of my opinion is negative; this soap removes around 99% of all my makeup (even my mascara and eyeliner, which is amazing). I’m used to applying a makeup remover before washing my face, but with this soap it is not necessary. For this reason I give it 3.8 out of 5 stars.

  • Body Butter

    Soap & Glory – $15

    First Impression:

I don’t know where to start… The smell is exquisite, it has a scent similar to Miss Dior. Love it!

    How do I use it:

After my shower, I dry myself (but not completely) and I just apply it in my entire body, focusing on my hips and arms because they are extra dry right now.

    Final thoughts:

This cream is VERY thick since, of course, it’s a butter. It is a little hard to apply if you are completely dry, but if you apply it when you get out of the shower and your skin is still a little wet, it will be way easier. The scent stays in your body for a good amount of hours. So, for this reason, I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I used to live in San Juan. I was a flight attendant and it was an amazing time 😍🥰

I remember calling my mom and telling her “the call patacones tostones here and they don’t think I know what it is.”😂😂

Non-profit organizations are a crucial element in Non-profit organizations are a crucial element in building healthy and thriving communities. It's not about demagogic philanthropy or fiscal stratagems; it's a real support network that ends up becoming the voice of the people they serve.

As the National Council of Nonprofits explains, America's 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond.

"They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities. Every single day," the NCN adds.

Today we honor those affected and raise awareness Today we honor those affected and raise awareness about human trafficking and forced labor across the United States.

LatinX communities are at increased risk for human trafficking. Some stats by the National Human Trafficking Hotline reveal that 77% of confirmed Latin Americans and Caribbeans are easy targets for traffickers. The remaining 23% are victims of sex trafficking or a combination of sex and labor trafficking.

In terms of where most of these victims come from, six out of ten possible victims from Latin America and the Caribbean come from Mexico. The industry where they are most vulnerable is agriculture.

And not only is the Latinx community at elevated risk of being targeted for human trafficking, but too often, law enforcement and immigration officials seem to miss opportunities to identify and prevent trafficking attempts.

If this cause is close to your heart, you can learn more about identifying a victim at: dhs.gov/blue-campaign/identify-victim
