After ten months of living through a pandemic, you are probably craving a stress-free day at the spa. Unfortunately, that is not the safest thing to do right now. So, these are some self-care practices and creative ideas to bring the spa to your home!

Try a classic face mask!
From charcoal to avocado, peel-off to leave on, the options are endless when it comes to face masks. If you are feeling some-type-of-way after a long day of working from home and playing with your kids, you can feel refreshed after applying a face mask.

How about that body scrub?
Mix equal parts honey and granulated sugar, and bam! you have yourself a lovely full-body sugar scrub! Before applying body wash, rub the scrub all over to exfoliate. Honey also serves as a natural antibiotic, so it helps with acne anywhere on your body. This is a fan-favorite, and applying a sugar scrub while practicing mindfulness can help with anxiety or just relieving stress.

Pamper your hair too…
Have a few extra beers lingering in your fridge after a virtual happy hour? Try putting it in your hair as a hydrating hair mask. Go outside (or in your tub), flip your hair over, and pour that bubbly goodness into your scalp. Let that seep into all of your hair, and once it’s not too wet, put your hair up in a bun. Don’t try to wring it out too much, as this can harm your hair. After about half an hour, hop into the shower, was out the beer, and reap the benefits!

Bath bombs!
You can never go wrong with a bath bomb. There are glitter bath bombs, calming bath bombs, colorful bath bombs, and truthfully, they’re all “the bomb.” As it is, baths are already so soothing, and adding a bath bomb elevates the entire experience. Grab a glass of your favorite wine, pull a small table close to set up Netflix on your laptop, drop a bath bomb in the warm water, and enjoy a night full of bubbles.

Hello soft and supple feet!
Now, you might not see results immediately with this type of mask, but the wait is so worth it. Get rid of all of your dead skin without the tickles or the uncomfortable feeling of using a pumice stone. If you have an hour on your hand, grab your foot mask, cut the top, slip your feet in, and grab your favorite book. After an hour, wash the mask off your feet and make sure to dry well. In about 2-3 days, you will feel like a snake shedding its skin with how much your feet will peel.
