The Dress

The Sofia Vergara wedding actually used 3 dresses: 2 for the rehearsal dinner and the wonderful wedding dress with which she married.
The latter was a unique creation of the Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, although the bride dictated the style.
The dress toured three continents. The body was made in the workshop that Murad has in Lebanon, the overskirt was embroidered in his Parisian atelier and the bride wore it in the United States.
32 people worked for 207 hours using 11 pounds of sequins, 6 pounds of beads and 350 Swarovski and Murano crystals to embellish the piece.
By the way, two assistants were hired whose only duty was to be in charge of the detachable overskirt.

The Flowers

Sofia and Joe personally supervise the flower selection. The bride hired famed designer Jeff Leatham, who is responsible for similar work in some of the world’s most exclusive hotels like the Four Seasons in Los Angeles and the Ritz Carlton in Paris.
For 3 consecutive days flowers from around the world tarrive to Palm Beach. Thai orchids and Amelia roses Colombia among them.
More than two dozen people over two days were devoted to form the curtains of selected orchids that adorned the hall of the ceremony.
The reception was chaired by giants topiaries showcasing flowers in variations of colors that went from red to pink.

The Bachelor Parties

But the most memorable and romantic detail of the occasion was not about money, planning, exotic products or respected professionals.
Sofia and Joe decided not to have bachelor parties because as the actress herself confessed to the magazine “Martha Stewart Weddings”:
“We are happy to no longer single. We do not need one last party to say goodbye to our singleness”
