ponche recipe

The name of this tantalizing ponche recipe alone sends shivers down your taste buds. Let’s get in the seasonal mood of cooking and experimenting with new punch recipes that makes us savor each day with this Venezuelan creamy ponche. Here’s how you do it.

  • bottle of white rum
  • cans of condensed milk
  • egg yolks
  • can of evaporated milk

  1. Mix the egg yolks and beat until it takes the form of a creamy texture.

  2. Add the 3 cans of condensed milk and evaporated milk onto the mixture and mix thoroughly. Add the bottle of rum and whisk away. You can add a touch of lemon peel or vanilla if you’re into it. If you happen to be out of condensed milk, you can substitute with dulce de leche. Yum!

  3. Pour the mix into a bottle with a secure lid on top, and make sure to let it cool for at least an hour before serving. You can keep this ponche recipe in your fridge for around 6 months … you know, just in case you feel like getting back the Christmas spirit!

  4. Our favorite step so far. Serve up on a glass with lots of ice cubes and enjoy the festivities. You can certainly say this is the cherry on top of a delicious feast and everyone in your family with love you for it. Cheers!
