How to make the best homemade pizza

Jun 22, 2018

Making homemade pizza is so easy and yet many of us still prefer to order pizza or buy it frozen. This recipe is as delicious as it is relatively unknown. Once you give a try to it, you’ll realize that myths around how making pizza dough can be complicated, are just that: simply myths. The truth is that making homemade pizza is easy, super fun, and in addition it can be quite an experience if you do it with the help of your children. Depending on their age , children can for example help extending the dough or adding the toppings they like the most. My recipe today is a simple pizza with cheese, to which nobody resists. I hope you like it.

  • 1 Cup
    lukewarm water
  • 1 Tbsp.
  • 1/2 Tsp.
  • 1 Tbsp.
  • 3 Cups
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp.
    olive oil
  • 1/2 Cup
    tomato sauce
  • 1 Cup
    Mozzarella cheese, schredded

  1. In the bowl of a mixer with the kneading hook, add water, sugar, salt, yeast and flour and mix until the dough begins to form.

  2. Add the olive oil and continue kneading until a soft, elastic dough forms, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Form a dough ball with your hands, put it back in the bowl and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let stand for half an hour, until the dough double its size.

  4. Preheat the oven to 425F and cover a tray or baking sheet with parchment paper.

  5. Sprinkle some flour on the parchment paper and spread the dough with your fingers.

  6. Distribute the tomato sauce over the dough and sprinkle the oregano.

  7. Distribute the cheese and bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese begins to brown.

  8. Put the pizza on a board and let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
