Easy-to-make Oatmeal Atole with Abuelita’s recipe

Jan 19, 2018

There is no better breakfast than a good bowl of creamy, thick oatmeal atole, sprinkled with cinnamon. Since this oatmeal atole is made with milk, the result is a complete meal to start the day, especially if you also complement it it with fresh fruit. The recipe I’m sharing today is inspired by the avena con leche (oatmeal with milk) my grandma and my mom used to give to my siblings and me. To make it healthier, I use skim milk and less sugar and my boys love it! I hope you like it as much as we do.
