Have the last two years left you yearning for something more in your life?
We all saw how quickly the world changed around us, and it forced us to look deep within ourselves and truly reflect on whether or not we were actually happy with the way our lives were going.
Many of us came to the realization that time is so precious and fragile, and we were wasting it away by focusing solely on mundane routines. We were not truly taking advantage of the time to do the things we love or to challenge ourselves to be better.
After all, one of the most fascinating things about us is that we are an ever-evolving species that can continue to learn and grow. Now that we have come to the realization that it is time for real change, the next step is becoming the best version of ourselves.
Be Accountable
In order to become the best version of yourself, you must first learn to accept and take responsibility for all your actions.
Instead of attributing maladaptive behaviors to external factors, you must acknowledge that you are the one solely responsible for all you do. This can prove challenging, especially if you are a part of a long chain of generational trauma, but allowing yourself to take control of your destiny is essentially breaking you and your children free of this curse.
By teaching yourself to become accountable for all your actions, you learn to be responsible, leading you to improve your daily life.
Manifest Positivity
Instead of expecting always to have bad luck or for things to not happen the way you envision them to, focus on making your environment a positive one in which you can flourish.
By manifesting positivity, you are attracting positive outcomes into your life. Many might mistake the art of manifestation as simply thinking positively so that things can go well.
However, you have to actively work towards this goal.
Create a vision board so you may visualize your goals every day. Avoid being on social media all day, so you are not absorbed by negative news all day. Change your environment if you feel it is filled with negativity and not allowing you to prosper.
Make Yourself a Priority
As moms, it is easy to put our needs behind our family’s. Our main focus is to provide our children with a warm and loving home.
However, in order to become the best version of yourself, you must prioritize your needs as well. After all, your happiness will inevitably make your children feel happier too.
Do you usually skip breakfast? Instead, try and set up a morning routine so you may start the day energized—practice self-care.
Not long ago, I would get home from work and only worry about making dinner so we could all go to bed shortly after. I was not taking time to care for myself. Thirty minutes before bedtime is all it takes to care for yourself. Brush your teeth, floss, apply your skincare, and reading or journaling for 5 minutes will start promoting a healthier lifestyle for you.
Becoming the person you have always dreamed of is no easy feat, but it is not impossible. With some time and practice, you will surely blossom into a happy and successful individual.
