7 Songs That Will Get You Out Of Bed Right Now

in Life on 01/04/16

Do you have a list of the best songs to wake up to? We all have those days when getting out of bed in the morning seems like a gigantic task. We keep hitting the snooze button over and over hoping that time will stop “just for a little bit”, to later realize how late we are!

But, did you know that music and mood are inherently linked? Studies prove that the music’s energizing effects comes from its ability to engage the body’s sympathetic nervous system. The activation of this system readies the body for action whenever we face a challenge, like getting out of bed! So whether you went to sleep very late, or your baby kept you up all night, we have put together this list of the best songs to wake up to and help you get out of bed so you can kick off your day.

  • Mordidita, by Ricky Martin

It’s fun and Ricky puts the R in Ridiculamente contagious! This song will not only wake you up, it might just make you want to go out dancing right after work.

  • Madre Tierra, by Chayanne

He’s sexy and oh so charming. Too bad he can’t sing this song to you by the bed!

  • Addicted to you, by Shakira

If you can’t get your hips to move like Shakira’s, at least you can shake your booty as you get out of bed with her song.

  • Viva La Vida, by Coldplay

One of the most energetic bands out there, check out this song and get hooked to the lyrics for the rest of the day.

  • Wake Me Up, by Avicii

The title of the song is self-explanatory! Wake up!

  • Happy, by Pharrell Williams

You will be happy and begin dancing after waking up to the smash hit that Pharrell brought with this song.

  • Back it up, by Prince Royce

Non-profit organizations are a crucial element in Non-profit organizations are a crucial element in building healthy and thriving communities. It's not about demagogic philanthropy or fiscal stratagems; it's a real support network that ends up becoming the voice of the people they serve.

As the National Council of Nonprofits explains, America's 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond.

"They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities. Every single day," the NCN adds.

Today we honor those affected and raise awareness Today we honor those affected and raise awareness about human trafficking and forced labor across the United States.

LatinX communities are at increased risk for human trafficking. Some stats by the National Human Trafficking Hotline reveal that 77% of confirmed Latin Americans and Caribbeans are easy targets for traffickers. The remaining 23% are victims of sex trafficking or a combination of sex and labor trafficking.

In terms of where most of these victims come from, six out of ten possible victims from Latin America and the Caribbean come from Mexico. The industry where they are most vulnerable is agriculture.

And not only is the Latinx community at elevated risk of being targeted for human trafficking, but too often, law enforcement and immigration officials seem to miss opportunities to identify and prevent trafficking attempts.

If this cause is close to your heart, you can learn more about identifying a victim at: dhs.gov/blue-campaign/identify-victim
