Once you heard the news, your whole world was turned upside down. Your body experienced a lot of changes. And you were never the same from then on. You learned you were pregnant one day, and just like that, only a few months later (or so it seems), your newborn became a toddler. Life is amazing, but your body … well, it’s amazing too, of course, but it’s just not the same. Although it is expected that you’ll end up looking different after the most beautiful process a woman can go through, you are certainly looking forward to going back in time! You will slowly get your old body back. It sounds crazy, we know. But with time and discipline you will get there, mommy. Just follow these simple tips.
Control your cravings
We know it’s not easy. Believe us. We have been in your shoes. When you’re pregnant, it feels like no amount of food is enough to give you that desired sense of fullness. Resist, mom-to-be! Stay healthy and keep your cravings on a very tight leash.
Maintain a balanced diet
The sooner you get started, the better. Replace cravings with foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins that will help you and your child stay strong and healthy. Maintain this during your pregnancy and make it your lifestyle. You won’t regret it.
Drink lots of water from this moment on. Water is the best way to fight your cravings and it will keep your digestive system on point. So drink as much water as you can!
Once you have your baby, this will be a hard one. Your newborn will demand your attention 24/7, at first. The good news is that as days go by, you will find the time to get some sleep. Use it! You need those hours in bed to have enough energy for the next day. Plus, the less you sleep, the more chances you have to gain extra weight.
Exercise at home
You know, while the baby is resting or even with him or her right beside you, come up with your own workout routine. A few exercises will not only benefit your weight loss –it will also help blow off some steam from evening craziness.
