Gardening has become all the rage these days. Back in the day, gardening was seen as a hobby for our retired abuelitas or as something purely decorative for your home.
However, worldwide phenomena such as the COVID-19 pandemic sparked interest in gardening in younger generations. Being socially isolated had our minds craving for stimulation, and gardening happened to be something you can do from the comfort of your own home.
I admit I also fell into the gardening hobby but quickly realized it was not as simple as watering plants and giving them sunlight.
One of the main reasons my plants were not prospering was soil quality. I kept them in the soil that I bought them with at home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s, and the result was plants that rarely ever sprouted.
Once I started looking at gardening tips and tricks, I stumbled upon compost and the importance of using it.
Compost is a blend of organic matter, such as kitchen scraps and dead leaves, to enrich and improve the soil. Using compost, your soil will become valuable and provide your plants with all the nutrients necessary to grow.
I know it can seem like a daunting task at first when you want to tackle the art of gardening and composting.

Using her tips and tricks, she has been able to grow a flourishing garden that provides food and beautiful plants. She talks about soil and how to make compost in various videos.
