Choosing a name for your baby is a pretty big decision. You want to find a name that you love and (hopefully) your child will love. Maybe you have had a list of favorite names for years and the choice is easy – but sometimes you need a little help! We have researched and compiled this year’s list of Hispanic trending baby names and we think most of them will be here to stay!
Move over Emma, Claire and Hailey – this year it’s all about Celeste, Paz and Luz! Celeste is a soft and pretty and we’re happy to see this delicate name finally being recognized! Long used in the Hispanic community, Luz refers to Our Lady of Light and according to the name experts, people with this name have a deep inner desire to create and express themselves. Paz – which is gaining fame thanks to actresses Paz Vega and Paz de la Huerta – translates to peace and people with this name have a deep inner desire to use their abilities in leadership and to have personal independence.
Boys, boys, boys! Three of our faves from this year’s list include Santiago, Marco and Alessio. Meaning – an uncompromising, courageous, energetic and masculine man – it’s no wonder why Alessio tops the charts! It also doesn’t hurt that soccer stud Alessio Romagnoli shares the moniker. Marco is a longstanding top boy name and people with this name have a deep inner need for quiet, to analyze the world they live in and to learn the deeper truths. Named for Saint James, Santiago comes in a ton of variations. From Santo to Santino and now even Saint (thanks to Kim and Kanye) – you can’t really go wrong with this favorite.
