Welcome The New Year In A Clutter-Free Kitchen

Kitchen organization can totally change your life. The kitchen is the heart of any home. After all, that’s where the food is. That’s also where the family spends most of the time, either cooking, eating or simply chatting over a cup of coffee. It makes sense that now that the Holidays are in full swing, to really do some serious pantry organization so it’s more efficient and prettier as well. It is also a great idea for beginning a new year clutter-free.

  • Get some liners

Kitchen organization starts with clean shelves and drawers! Line all your drawers and pantry shelves with a heavy duty liner so they are much easier to clean. You can also find liners in fun colors or patterns and cut them up to make them into coasters, tray liners and coasters. Not only they’ll look great, they will also prevent items from sliding around.

  • Junk drawer overhaul

Your kitchen already has a junk drawer, it’s where you put every important thing you might need and then immediately lose in the clutter. It’s time for an overhaul. Get some modular drawer organizers in different shapes and sizes to keep all your junk looking neat. This way, it will be easier to find what you are looking for and identify what is truly junk and throw it out. You will also never lose a tiny item in the back of the drawer again.

  • A pantry must-have

The one kitchen organization item that should never be missing from your pantry: see-through containers, preferable stackable. Transfer your staples (sugar, flour, rice, etc.) into these containers to save space, preserve their freshness and easily see when you are running out of anything. This will also make it so much easier to find what you are looking for, as you won’t be reaching for that half-empty rolled down bag at the back.
